WHAT

The 10th Anniversary of our Wasaga Beach Not So Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament

We had over 130 teams (over 900 players) participate in the 2007 Event.  2008 should be even bigger and better!!

An action packed weekend of beach volleyball - your team is guaranteed to play approximately eighteen 20-minute games on Saturday & Sunday - and even more if you advance to the playoffs!

To break up the monotony of playing beach volleyball all day long, we have social breaks every hour to win some cool swag, a hot D.J. spinning the tunes all weekend long, sponsor booths to visit, as well as the ever-popular food and beverage gardens right on the beach.

In addition to the prizing for the top three teams in each division, we will be offering prize money to the winning teams in the Elite 4's and Elite 6's divisions.  the prizing is as follows:

1st place - $300.00 per team

2nd place - $200.00 per team

3rd place - $100.00 per team

ITINERARY

Friday, July 4, 2008

8:00pm-9:30pm - Team Captains check-in.  All teams are required to check-in on Friday night.

10:00pm-2:00am - Beach Party

8:00am-8:30AM - Final Check-In

8:30am-8:45AM - Team Captain's Meeting

9:00AM-6:00pm - Beach Volleyball action

10:00pm-2:00am - Beach Party at Bananas

DIVISIONS

Elite, Competitive and Advanced 4's - Must have 2 males and 2 females on the court at all times.

Elite, Advanced, Intermediate & Recreational 6's - Must have a minimum of 2 males and 2 females, with a total of 6 players.

It is very important for the Not So Pro Tournaments that you are registered in the proper division.  For more detailed descriptions of skill levels, click here

in particular, the Elite 4's and Elite 6's divisions consist of teams with a great deal of volleyball experience - a number of players in this division have played at the college/university varsity level, and/or have played at a high level of competitive beach volleyball.

ACCOMMODATIONS

You will have to arrange your own accommodations if you are coming from out of town.

You might want to try some hotel/motel options (we play at Beach 1, so look for accommodations near here.  Try the Villa Nova Motel (705-429-2701).  Other options are Angel's Motel (705-429-2535), Saga Resort (705-429-2543) or Albatross Motel (705-429-4000), ZIGGY'S INTERNATIONAL GUEST HOUSE AND LODGING  416-712-3131),  DONATO HOUSE HOTEL (1-877-372-4411)

HOW MUCH

$399 per team + GST

There are no registrations for individuals.  For 2008, we will be allowing two people to register together (ie. two people registering together to play Wasaga Beach Recreational 6's).
