Since 1995, Not
So Pro Sports has been fortunate to be able to become involved with a number of
great charities. Starting in 2005, a designated portion of every
team and individual registration for our sports leagues has been set
aside for charitable purposes.
Some of the specific areas that we assist are the following:
- A new and improved playground at Ashbridges Bay
in Toronto
- Renovation of the Woodbine Beach
Bathing Station
Some of the charities that Not So Pro has
supported in the past has included:
- Sponsor for
17th Annual Spring Sprint to raise
funds for Beaches Recreation Centre
- Sponsor for the
Easter
Seals 24-Hour Relay
- Sending Kids to Camp through Community Centre 55
- Donating sporting equipment to Sports Camps and schools both locally and abroad
- Raising funds to purchase a time clock for the new Community Centre in Grand Bend
- Funding Communities in Bloom of Wasaga Beach to help improve the beach front
- Raising over $75,000 for Senior Link, a local Beaches/Danforth community charity
dedicated to promoting independence and dignity among the senior community
- Supporting the YWCA Camps with over $20,000
- Donation of sports equipment to schools and camps
- Send children to local sports camps
- Help send terminally ill children to
Camp Oochigeas
All of our participants have helped to
contribute to these excellent causes through our
Not So Pro
tournaments, silent auctions, donations of default fees, and other
areas. We
would like to thank everyone for your support, and hope that you will continue to help us.
Over the next few months, we will be
providing more details about our charitable contribution for 2008.
We would be more than
happy to hear your thoughts and suggestions.
On behalf of Not So Pro Sports
